Reporting to the Head of UX, you will be responsible for creating utterly intuitive user experiences, which seamlessly balance ‘product enhancements’ with ‘commercial requirements’.
This is an opportunity to work in an innovative, incredibly fast-paced environment where your work will have a direct impact on the experience people have when engaging with us. We are looking for exceptional candidates with a genuine passion for design, user experience and connected technology.
Right now, our focus is on joining the dots, bringing our expertise to the internet of things where we can build whole new connected environments and then explore and evolve the connected products that offer even more benefits. Over the last few years, we’ve established and invested in our Connectivity Research function, dedicated entirely to exploring, testing and refining next generation IOT solutions that will enable Dyson products to work in a connected environment.
It’s a business within a business, where each member of the team enjoys the freedom to bring their vision and expertise to work every day. And you’ll be joining us at an exciting, challenging time as we further grow our IOT and connected product range and launch our new responsive ecommerce site designed to inform and inspire.
Putting users at the heart of what we do, you’ll advocate the needs of the user through design-concepts, workshops and team collaboration. You'll join a dedicated experience project team of researchers, service designers and technical wizards to conceptualize and design the interaction for users across digital interaction points and devices. You will focus on experience leadership and consider deeply how the interaction design can satisfy product usability objectives through user-centered design. You'll influence stakeholders to incorporate insights from user research and customer data and translate this into interactions that fix problems.
You'll be leading UX aspects of digital and customer experience projects, the data analysis and development of customer-journey maps and lead the experience voice for new-business activities and strategic presentations.
You'll be hands on creation of user flows, wireframes & clickable prototypes and take the opportunity to manage and mentor junior UX designers.
You're currently a talented UX Deisgner who has worked as part of an agile delivery team, conducted usability testing, planned and accurately estimated complex design work, ran workshops and mentoring team members. You'll have experience of Journey mapping, wire flows, prototyping, surveys and analysis, personas and other design tools.
It would be a bonus if you also had experience in
- Use of Sketch, prototyping software (such as Flinto, Axure)
- Adobe indesign, photoshop
- Analytics (e.g. Google, Appsee, Adobe)
- International research
It’s not for the faint-hearted but it is for talented designers that thrive on problem solving, teamwork and the need to keep challenging themselves and others.
