Campus Recruiter, Malaysia
Johor Bahru, Malaysia, Malaysia
With huge growth planned and new technologies in development we need a specialist in University and Student recruitment to join our global 'Early Careers Team' and find our future Engineering and Technology talent in Malaysia. Supported by global colleagues, you will be the market expert, with scope to make a real impact as we launch new graduate and internship programmes.
Much has changed since James Dyson launched the bagless vacuum that started our business. In the time since, Dyson engineers have invented heat-free hand dryers, bladeless fans, long-life LED lighting and even our own digital motor.
Today, vacuums represent just half of our sales. And Dyson has even broader ambitions still. With a future technology pipeline spanning 25 years, the next few are set to be our busiest yet. 3,000 new people. 100 new machines. And four brand new product categories by 2020. So get ready for the next big thing.
In 2000, Dyson moved production from Malmesbury to Malaysia to be closer to our supply chains and open up international growth. The small team of 10 has now grown to almost 1,200 – forming Dyson’s second biggest global hub. Located in the exhilarating industrial heart of Johor, it’s also home to RDD, IT, operations, finance, creative and HR. The RDD facility is central to our plans to launch 100 new machines in the next four years. To meet these ambitions, we recently expanded the site to 30,000m², with 50 advanced technology labs and 700 new engineers. In the Dyson world, there’s no more exciting place to be.
Dyson’s success is all about its people. To meet ambitious growth, our Talent Acquisition team is rapidly expanding our ranks – from engineers and marketeers, to legal, financial and strategic brains. Not just finding the best people, but the right people for Dyson - whether they come with experience or potential. It takes a deep understanding of our culture, departments and often complex roles. Working closely with candidates and senior stakeholders, it’s a dynamic, fast-moving environment. As we head into unknown global and technical territories, new challenges await. And each recruitment experience must put Dyson ahead of the competition.
The Campus Recruiter is a new role based in Johor Bahru, resourcing for our Research, Design & Development Intern & Graduate programmes based in Malaysia. We are looking to raise our profile at key universities across the country to ensure we are an employer of choice for graduate and undergraduate talent. You will be at the forefront of driving marketing initiatives, defining the candidate experience through the delivery of professional, personal candidate management, and managing the assessment and marketing events to ensure the best candidates are engaged and influenced to join us.
You'll need to be passionate about recruitment and the opportunity to bring the best Student talent into Dyson. You'll demonstrate this through previous recruitment experience, ideally from in-house or RPO recruitment roles, and an understanding of the challenges and timelines for volume recruitment and assessment processes. Direct involvement with University recruitment in Malaysia and across APAC is an advantage, as are local languages, as you will need to identify key partners, build relationships with faculties, networks and students. You'll be based in the HR team but working as part of the Global 'Early Careers' Talent Acquisition team, needing to work collaboratively but equally as comfortable working to your own agenda and on your own initiative. Your focus on delivering exceptional customer service and a positive candidate experience is key. This is a fast paced environment so flexibility, a can-do attitude and willingness to "muck in" are essential.
Dyson Malaysia monitors the market to ensure we offer competitive salaries, management bonuses and pension contributions. Beyond that, you’ll enjoy generous leave and medical care and insurance. But financial benefits are only the start of a career at Dyson. Leadership support and new opportunities abound, driven by regular dialogue and international training. And with a vibrant culture, the latest devices and a relaxed dress code reflecting our engineering spirit, it’s an exciting team environment geared to progress, innovation and realising ambition.
