A Web Developer is required to help build and support internal publishing sites within Dyson using the SharePoint 2013 platform. SharePoint has been in place at Dyson since 2013 and the successful applicant will have an influential role in driving the solution towards technical excellence and implementation of Best Practice. The successful candidate will assume the role of Web Developer to Dyson’s information management solutions team, working with the Collaboration Business Analysts to deliver excellent web solutions. The solutions will vary in size from very small sites and small projects which could take a few days up to large scale sites/large projects which could last a year. The role will work on multiple projects at once time so will need to be able handle multitasking very well. Excellent opportunity to be able to get access to the latest technology as we have implementations of SharePoint 2013 and pending implementations of O365 and SharePoint 2016. Formal training and skills transfer will be available to the successful candidate.

Function Overview

We’re implementing a completely new commerce and content platform to transform the way we explain our technology, with completely new engaging, interactive visual assets and build a purchase journey that outperforms global leaders like Apple and B&O. It’s a cornerstone of our global drive to more direct sales and a closer relationship with our customers.

Accountabilities

You will work closely with the Collaboration Business Analysts Team that gather the business requirements. You will take these requirements and provide solutions based on internal publishing templates. Working with the internal brand and communication teams to extend these templates when new requirements are sent through.

Skills

• Experience in developing applications using Javascript frameworks such as JQuery
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Excellent people skills and an understanding of how to manage a variety of people
• Be extremely comfortable with change.
• Experience providing 3rd level support
• Experience with 3rd Party Workflow technology
• Exposure to project management methodologies like Agile and change control standards.
• Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
