Market OverviewHome to our global Research, Design and Development centre and all of our Commercial functions, Dyson HQ is tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside. Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded, yet nearby are the fashionable cities of Bristol and Bath.
The building is the heartbeat of Dyson. Over 1,500 people, including James himself, spend their days strategizing, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world. In 2016, our HQ began doubling its footprint with an ambitious new expansion.
You’ll work with Dyson’s senior leaders to surface interesting stories and guide their plans so that we deliver the best communications strategies across all global markets, supporting the sale of Dyson products and our wider growth ambitions. Manage campaigns from start to finish, ensuring that our good news is maximised and timed for success. You’ll be responsible for ensuring local market teams receive all the tools and information they need to achieve measurable success and ale to report on local market impact.
Train and brief Dyson Spokespeople – primarily our senior leaders and engineers – to ensure they are best set-up for successful when speaking on Dyson’s behalf to the media. Undertake a continuous programme of improvement for our internal and external partners training and updates for PR agencies, PR teams, and distributors in market.
You’ll have an outstanding understanding of the media landscape in the UK and experience of working with the media in other local markets across the seas. The ideal candidate will have thrived in a fast-paced environment and come from the health, beauty or personal care industry with a passion for technology. You’ll have demonstrable experience of leading others with an inspiration style that motivates a geographically spread team.
As a PR Manager you’ll have relevant experience managing campaigns and announcements from start to finish and a few war-stories to share from your encounters along the way. You’ll have impeccable verbal and written communication, experience of advising senior executives on how to communicate their vision and narratives, and experience of working in or directly with journalists and the media.
