The IT Team Lead / PLM Support Lead is required to manage a small team based at Dyson Malmesbury, proactively working to ensure the business receives an excellent service.

The number of people using PLM systems in Dyson is approaching 2300 and continues to grow steadily. A strong global support approach is key to ensuring that Dyson maximises the benefit from the existing systems. These systems include Siemens Teamcenter, Siemens NX, ANSYS and Mentor.
The IT Team Lead / PLM Support Lead is required to manage a small team based at Dyson Malmesbury, proactively working to ensure the business receives an excellent service. The successful applicant will manage the daily activities of the UK support team, working closely with our Global PLM Support teams, ensuring a consistent approach is followed. You will be reporting to the Business Application Service Manager and working closely with other members of the global IT and Engineering teams.
As the PLM Support Lead, you will have the most comprehensive view of the frequency of similar situations where people request guidance or make common mistakes. It is important that you summarise these and highlight them to the relevant teams, monitoring progress of resolution where appropriate.
You will also be responsible for proactively monitoring the systems as a whole to ensure that they are running as efficiently as possible. This includes ensuring changes do not impact performance, maintenance does not cause unnecessary downtime and that performance issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible.
As a PLM Support lead you will work closely with the PLM solution team and extended team (Optimisation and Training) to ensure delivery of improvement projects are coordinated with the support team.
You will have recent experience with product development systems such as Siemens Teamcenter and Siemens NX and ideally experience of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and key Engineering applications, including ANSYS, Mentor, Matlab, Labview & Minitab
