Cloud Infrastructure Engineer responsible for the build, configuration, deployment and support of our Digital and Connected devices infrastructure, while working with software engineers and operational teams to make sure our systems are secure, robust and reliable.
Home to our global Research, Design and Development centre and all of our Commercial functions, Dyson HQ is tucked away in countryside famous for the railway tunnels and bridges of Isambard Brunel, who revolutionised modern engineering. Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded. Yet nearby are the fashionable cities of Bristol and Bath (where a young James Dyson invented cyclone technology).
The building is the heartbeat of Dyson. Over 1,500 people, including James himself, spend their days strategizing, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world. From 2016, our HQ will begin doubling its footprint with an ambitious new expansion.
Ensuring Dyson’s IT infrastructure performs around the clock, around the world, isn’t easy. And as the company expands geographically, taking on more people and more complex enterprises, our IT needs to continually evolve the business to face its new challenges.
Exciting and fast paced, our hub of technical architects thrives on empowering and protecting Dyson with the latest and best business transformation technology. From servers and storage, to database management, network configuration, communications and collaboration tools, we’re investigating the future and providing global solutions.
The Infrastructure & Environments team is responsible for building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Infrastructure as code along with automation is our bread and butter – making sure environments can be spun up or changed with ease, whilst ensuring consistency. The team also works closely with the software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments.
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for the build, configuration, deployment and support of our Digital and Connected devices infrastructure, while working with software engineers and operational teams to make sure our systems are secure, robust and reliable.
