Description

We are looking for a Head of Digital Architecture with deep omni-channel experience, to partner with delivery teams and business stakeholders with broad experience from the commercial sector of turning business ideas into pragmatic, robust and scalable solutions. Offering great exposure to key stakeholders across the business the ideal candidate will be leveraging from their deep understanding of digital technologies and process. We need a confident and experienced individual with expert knowledge of digital architecture, with a background of delivering solutions in retail or commercial industry and familiarity across the spectrum of digital content, omni-channel commerce, IOT, integration and security.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Wiltshire, but only 15 minutes from the M4 and well connected by rail, our Malmesbury HQ is home to more than 3,000 people in a growing campus that houses our IT, Finance, Group Commercial, RDD and GB & Ireland Market teams. With 3 cafes, a gym and sports facility and a selection of iconic engineering legends including our Harrier and Lightning jets, it’s an inspirational place to work and the Digital team is based in the most recently built, agile workspace.

Function Overview

We’re implementing a completely new commerce and content platform to transform the way we explain our technology, with completely new engaging, interactive visual assets and build a purchase journey that outperforms global leaders like Apple and B&O. It’s a cornerstone of our global drive to more direct sales and a closer relationship with our customers.

At the same time, our existing platform continues to serve our global customer base with commerce functionality, rich support content and customer engagement tools, and forms a core part of our IoT platform, powering our latest generation of connected products. A selection of smaller sites supporting the James Dyson Foundation, our Careers Portal and the upcoming Dyson Institute complete the set of platforms that the growing Digital IT team support.

Accountabilities

You will be responsible for shaping the strategy and delivery of digital solutions across the enterprise and transform complex business requirements into candidate system architectures which also meet security, performance and high availability requirements. You will identify and champion the best solutions that meet the goals of being an Omni Channel Digital business, working with various teams to construct inclusive and concise architectural designs, roadmaps, and robust solutions in a collaborative manner and Provide technical and architectural excellence for initiatives that deliver Dyson’s omni-channel digital strategy - Develop and document architecture patterns, strategies, and platforms

Skills

We are looking for a proven architect and leader, a digital guru with a customer centric ecommerce know how, you will Display a Proven track record as lead architect in delivering multiple large scale global digital programs and show experience in developing and designing applications and web services in a Service Oriented Architecture, including the use of RESTful services and API gateways.

Ideally you will have experience of Experience of Adobe AEM, Adobe Marketing Cloud and SAP Hybris and Experience of AWS in the context of global digital platforms.
