£competitive + 27 days holiday + pension + bonus + free onsite gym
Malmesbury, United Kingdom
This vital role reports to a Head of Category. Working as an expert within the Floorcare category, you will develop and apply a deep understanding of how to market and drive the commercial success of your personally assigned products and projects globally; planning, leading and executing global projects that will drive commercial product performance, both NPD launches and ‘in-life’ initiatives.
Home to our global Research, Design and Development centre and all of our Commercial functions, Dyson HQ is tucked away in countryside famous for the railway tunnels and bridges of Isambard Brunel, who revolutionised modern engineering. Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded. Yet nearby are the fashionable cities of Bristol and Bath (where a young James Dyson invented cyclone technology).
The building is the heartbeat of Dyson. Over 2,000 people, including James himself, spend their days strategizing, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world.
Bringing brand new technology to life – and to the world – requires inventive marketing. Clarity of message. Vast reach. Constantly engaging in more innovative ways. Working closely with our engineers, our marketeers develop powerful claims through scientific research. And from traditional channels to cutting-edge events, retail experiences, social media and PR, they seize every chance to tell the Dyson story.
The role takes ownership for providing effective cross-functional and cross-market leadership and coordination for their assigned products/projects. You’ll collaborate with and pull on the expertise of colleagues in creative, retail, digital, PR, advertising, graphics and packaging, and work with global in-market teams to understand local commercial contexts and influence and execute global strategies. You will be supported by Commercial Execs, to keep the operational side of projects on time and running fluidly.
This is not just proposition development. this role will look at all commercial aspects of Dyson's products: ranging, pricing, distribution, promotional strategy etc.
You'll have experience of confidently leading and inspiring virtual teams to review, plan, create and deliver. Experience of doing this internationally, and across marketing related functions (e.g. R&D, Consumer Research, Creative) is desirable to us.
You'll also have experience of product or brand management, i.e. simultaneous management of product marketing and communications. With strong traditional media and digital media channel knowledge.
Dyson monitors the market to ensure competitive salaries and pension contributions. Beyond that, you’ll also enjoy a profit-related bonus, generous leave and life insurance. But financial benefits are only the start of a Dyson career. Rapid professional growth, leadership development and new opportunities abound, driven by regular reviews and dynamic workshops. And with a vibrant culture and a relaxed dress code reflecting our engineering spirit, it’s an exciting team environment geared to creativity, innovation and ambition.
