DescriptionIn this newly created role, your job will be to oversee all performance and optimisation aspects of the direct-to-consumer business commercial plan; ranging from product launches, promotions, pricing, inventory management, forecasting and reporting.
Market OverviewAt Dyson, we never stand still. It’s the entrepreneur in us. By 2020, there will be 100 new machines, four new product portfolios and our headcount will have doubled – giving you lots to talk about.
Function OverviewBringing brand new technology to life – and to the world – requires inventive marketing. Clarity of message. Vast reach. Constantly engaging in more innovative ways. Working closely with our engineers, our marketeers develop powerful claims through scientific research. And from traditional channels to cutting-edge events, retail experiences, social media and PR, they seize every chance to tell the Dyson story.
We’ve set our goals high. We’ve got tough revenue and profit targets and we’ll need to pull together to deliver. Your analysis will provide the insights that will help us succeed. This is about optimising our direct sales – on and offline. After all, we know our products better than anyone. But you’ll help us decide whether that’s best done in a Dyson store, a pop-up store or through our website and other digital channels. Product launches, promotions, pricing, inventory management, forecasting and reporting will all be influenced by you. And you’ll support your recommendations in the form of user-friendly reports and performance dashboards – that will allow you to share trends, flag up concerns and highlight opportunities to drive our direct business in Benelux forward.
With a Bachelor degree or Masters in business, economics or analytics, you’re commercially switched on. You’ll either come from a similar role, or you could come from a business development, project management, account management or sales management role within retail. What’s important, is that you’re a self-starter with strong planning skills, who can take complex information / data and translate that into insights that will have far-reaching impact on our direct-to-consumer business. You’ll need to be fully up-to-speed with SAP / Business Warehouse and Microsoft products, whilst any experience of Google / Adobe Analytics is a big plus. Great communication skills – written and verbal – in English and Dutch are essential. French language skills would also be beneficial but not essential.
