Commercial Finance Manager

The Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for delivering end-to-end Finance support across all consumer Categories, from the evaluation of RDD projects that will drive future Category performance through to ensuring the strategic goals for each Category are executed in markets.
Market OverviewThe building is the heartbeat of Dyson. Over 1,500 people, including James himself, spend their days strategizing, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world. From 2016, our HQ will begin doubling its footprint with an ambitious new expansion.
The Commercial Finance team delivers data and strategy that supports and enables commercial business decision making. The function works within the matrix of a product category leadership team and a geographic sales and marketing subsidiary structure.
You will be a key point of contact for the commercial teams and commercial finance managers within the team, ensuring that sufficient financial rigour is applied to key decision making. Working with different functions across the business, this is a highly visible role that represents a great opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of Dyson.
The end-to-end nature of the role means you will have varied responsibilities including investment appraisal, influencing range planning decisions, commercial performance management and capacity planning. The role will be project based and required to support all the commercial finance teams to deliver objectives and as a result has a wide visibility across all category teams, offering a great opportunity to build a broad understanding of the Dyson consumer business.
Qualified Accountant with experience in a commercial role
Highly competent IT and data manipulation skills, with SAP and BW experience preferred
Curiosity and problem solving skills, with determination and perseverance to push changes through
Strong communication, with ability to influence and use financial information to provide insight to non-finance managers and senior directors
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to bring structure, planning and prioritization to a less structured environment in order to meet deadlines
